www.zamzar.com

This site can be very useful for teachers and students alike. It allows you to convert any video from YoutTube GoogleVideo etc... and download it as a media file onto your own personal computer. The directions are simple.

1. Cut and paste the URL of the video you wish to obtain from your web browser
2. Paste the url into the "step 1" bar on Zamzar's front page.
3. Follow the 4 steps listed.
4. You will recieve an email shortly after you do this. Follow the link in the email. You will be directed to a page with another link on it. That link is your media file. Follow the directions on the page to download your video.
5. You can insert this video into any powerpoint etc...

This is an extremely useful tool. I suggest that you use it if you plan on using a powerpoint or video.

Test Day

So it is finally here. I know that it can be a scary thing to think about, but I'd like you all to know that you are all brilliant thinkers who should have great confidence in yourselves. Take your time to study. Again, at this point I suggest re-reading sections of Pageant. Have a game plan for your essays and don't dwell on missed multiple choices. I am proud of how far all of you have come and it has been a pleasure teaching you so far. The test will be over at this time tomorrow and you will be able to relax a bit. Here is my advice in its most basic form:

1. Study by reading... you have already done most of the work, don't reinvent the wheel!
2. Relax your mind... get a good night's sleep. Breakfast is on me at 7:00 sharp at Smith's. Don't be late!
3. Have confidence. You are all smart people but there are plenty of those out there. What I enjoy and admire most about you all is that you are all unique and interesting people!
4. You will be fine. Trust me.

See you at 7. Please try to make it to breakfast as best as you can.
