US entry into WWII was mainly caused by tensions formed between the axis powers and the Allies(of which america was deeply entrenched in trade). America added to this tension by withdrawing all trade to Japan, Germany, And Italy through their Neutrality Acts. This coupled with the fact that america was not in the League Of Nations led to inevitably being drawn into the war. The country was preparing to go to war and Pearl Harbor was the incident that helped Roosevelt garner support for the war as well as the starting point of official involvement.

In the end it was the Federal Government that was responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor. Tensions were soaring and they did not prepare the country to repel or properly defend against an attack that was almost destined to happen. Although it was not predicted to hit so close to home, the Government could have prepared the army and navy to be able to respond to any kind of threat.

American involvement in WWII came directly after the Pearl Harbor attacks. This "suprise" attack could actually be foreseen with rising tensions between Japan and the U.S. as well as FDR's desire to allie with Great Brittian. The cause to the attacks on Pearl Harbor was the poor communication between the government and military leaders. If Military leaders in Hawaii had recieved notice to be on alert because of information from european powers of attack on hawaii, they could have better prepared themselves.

Because of the conflicting information military leaders in Hawaii recieved, they were caught unaware and unprepared. the with holding of key information by the government was the main cause of the pearl harbor attacks.

Sometimes a leader must make difficult decisions that have unfortunate short term implications. One can not wait for the collective psychology of a country's people to turn while the world falls into the hands of a totalitarian nightmare.

At fault for the attack on pearl harbor were many groups but the immediate cause was the public refusing to recognize threat of axis powers to democracy. FDR was also at fault and purposely withheld info from the public and military personnel for the greater good of america. the soldiers that died at pearl harbor were the most important casualties of the war they prevented the spread of totalitarianism as well as Nazism. They were knowingly sacrificed by FDR because that was their job and an attack on america would help inspire public support for the war. Propaganda was not effective because there was a widespread feeling of invincibility among the public and isolationism was working so far so why join 'their war'? to defend america's ideals so for those that don't disagree i would like to see some solid plans on how you would prevent the attack on pearl harbor while still inciting the public to support the government in entering WWII.

The Attack on Pearl harbor was the fault of the American people. The American people were in a state of isolationism and thought that America was "untouchable". Even if FDR got a message from the japanese it was for their own good. FDr had to get the Americans to relise that it was not all about them and to look at the world. If the American People were not so isolated from the world this whole incident may have been avoided.

The cause of pearl harbor was as simple as a vicious attack by the Japanese. The U.S.gov. played a large part. President Roosevelt knew the public did not want to get into a war.He also knew that only a a large injustice committed agents the U.S. wold be enough to get the U.S. citizens and congress behind his war movement. Roosevelt tried many different strategies to instigate a fight. He made alliances with Brittan and the Netherlands that economically encircle Japan. He terminated the Washington conference as well as stationing a weak and under informed navel fleet it Hawaii in the pacific ocean were he knew the conflict risk was high. Roosevelt May not have asked the Japanese to drop a bomb on Pearl Harbor but he did't do any thing to stop them.

Pearl Harbor's main cause was a lack of coherency between higherups in Washington DC and military field commanders in Pearl Harbor. Messages warning of an imminent attack were not relayed to the port in time, therefore the necessary preparations had not been made. Had the two groups been on the same page, members of the United States military would not have been victims of such a horrid attack, and may have been capable of defending themselves. Ultimately in heinsight one can recognize that some type of military offensive by Japan was inevitable condidering the rising tensions between Japan and the US. Economic sanctions between the two countries as well as disputes in foreign relations made their respective differences irreconcileable.
